Obituary of Robert D. Edwards

Robert D. Edwards, age 82 of Ransomville, died Friday June 5, 2015 at his residence under the loving care of his family and Niagara Hospice. Bob was born September 20, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY the son of the late Albert and Rose (Rodgers) Edwards. He was a route salesman for Frito Lay Co. in Williamsville for 36 years. Bob enjoyed playing cards and telling stories. With his great sense of humor he loved making people laugh and he was also very generous. He is survived by his children, David R. Edwards (Sharon Dean) of Sanborn, Douglas (Rose) Edwards of Ransomville, Bruce A. Edwards (Rebecca) and Scott Edwards (Shari Aughtman) both of the Town of Lewiston, and Annette (Frank) Faltisco of Niagara Falls; a brother, Albert (Audrey) Edwards of Salamanca, NY; a sister, Beatrice Sutherland of Niagara Falls, Ontario; his former wife, Shirley M. Edwards; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandchild and three sisters, Ruth Crawley, Shirley Sumbler, and Dolores Duffy. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Monday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 9, at 11:00 am in the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria.
