Obituary of Daniel J. "Danny" Smith

Daniel J. "Danny" Smith, 57, of Lewiston, NY, died unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, July 10, 2015. Born in Lewiston, NY on February 4, 1958 to James D. and Gail (Quarantillo) Smith. Dan graduated from Lewiston Porter High School in 1977. He worked as a Union Carpenter for Local #210 and most recently was employed by STC Construction, Inc. in Springville, NY. Dan was a avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He enjoyed camping and was known as a perfectionist and had the gift of gab. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #584, Lewiston and the 3F Conservation Club. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Crystal D. Smith of Lackawanna, NY and a son, Gerardus J. (Staci) Smith of Topeka, IN; a sister, Vicki White (Mark Cheers) of Lewiston; three nieces, Andrea, Brittany, and Jenna White; and a great-nephew, Kaleb DeLorenzo; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins; and his longtime companion, Victoria Bradshaw. Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston, on Monday from 2-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday from St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, at 10 AM. (PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Assoc., P.O. Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220-3049
