Obituary of Rosemary R. Brennen

Rosemary R. Brennen, age 79 of Youngstown, died Friday September 25, 2015 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Rosemary was born November 11, 1935 in Medina, NY, the daughter of the late John and Ruby M. (Holmquist) Menke. She was a 1953 graduate of Stella Niagara High School and attended Rosary Hill College. She was married to Edmund T. Brennen and they had lived in Lewiston from 1961 until moving to Youngstown in 2007. Edmund predeceased her in 1996. Rosemary was employed as a Bookkeeper by Carborundum Credit Union for over 34 years, retiring in 2004. She was a communicant of St. Bernard's RC Church in Youngstown. She was an avid painter and gardener and enjoyed the Library and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by her daughter, Bernadette Brennen (Shawn Weber) of Youngstown; her grandchildren, Shane (Sarah) Hilts and Weston Hilts, Eamon and Emory Weber and 5 great grandchildren. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Wednesday, September 30, from 4 - 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 1, at 10:30 AM in the Niagara University Alumni Chapel, Niagara University, with the Rev. William Allegretto officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
