Rom L. Lemay

Rom L. LeMay, of Newfane, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Niagara Hospice in Lockport, NY. He was 63. Rom was born on December 20, 1960 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Lester LeMay and the late Edna (nee Bushy) Eagan.

He was a 1978 graduate of Trott High School in Niagara Falls, NY. Following graduation, Rom joined the United States Army in 1979. While serving, Rom received the Bronze Star Medal with Combat Distinguished Device, two Purple Hearts, Army Reserve Components Achievements Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal. Rom retired in 2004 after serving 25 years with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

He married the former Paula C. Neville on October 17, 2020 in Lockport, NY at the Lockport Locks of the Erie Canal. He enjoyed spending time with his family, always looking forward to the children and grandchildren visiting.

Besides his parents, Mr. LeMay is predeceased by his step-son, Justin Orzetti. He is survived by his beloved wife Paula; loving children, Joshua (Tracey Janowsky) LeMay, Matthew (Danielle) LeMay, Lucas LeMay and Zachery LeMay, Kaylyn LeMay and Hannah Slish; cherished grandchildren, Kira, Zelda, Westley and Ethan; also survived by sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Arrangements by the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC. 401 N. Fourth Street (N. Fourth & Ridge Streets), Lewiston, NY. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
