Alfred F. Denny, of Wilson, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, at the age of 73.
Born on October 21, 1951, in Ransomville, NY, Alfred was the beloved son of the late Donald L. Sr. and Delores (Speck) Denny. A proud 1970 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School, Alfred’s life was marked by service, adventure, and a deep love for music.
Following high school, Alfred enlisted in the U.S. Navy, demonstrating his commitment to his country. After his military service, he moved to Chicago, IL, where he pursued a long and fulfilling career as a truck driver, working for various companies over the years.
Alfred had a lifelong passion for music, with a special admiration for The Beatles. As a young musician, he played the tuba and trombone in his high school marching band and later learned to play the piano, a talent he cherished.
He was preceded in death by his loving sisters, Lisa Grose and Erin Denny, and his caring brothers-in-law, Richard Keppler and Dana Holder. He is survived by his devoted siblings: Cynthia (Fred) Johnpier, Cathleen Keppler, Pamela (William) McInerney, Jay (Jenelle) Denny, Kim Mearins, Adam (Amy) Denny, Margaret Holder, and Donald Denny Jr., along with his brother-in-law, Doug Grose. Alfred’s memory will also live on in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and his best friend, Patrick Burick.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardison Funeral Homes, Inc., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
