Ann Marie Haslett Russo, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Northgate Health Care Facility. She was 76.

Born in Syracuse, NY, Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Ernest V. and Helen M. (née Boardman) Haslett. A proud graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School, Class of 1966, Ann later returned to her studies to earn a Nursing Degree from Niagara County Community College—a testament to her resilience and dedication to caring for others. She retired from Fairchild Nursing Facility in Lewiston, where her gentle spirit and compassion touched many lives.

Ann’s creativity was a defining part of her life. She found joy in crafting, especially crocheting and ceramics, and was known for her exquisite handwriting—a reflection of her grace and attention to detail. Her home was a celebration of the seasons, always adorned with festive decorations that brought warmth and cheer to those around her.

She cherished time spent with her close-knit circle of friends, often seen riding around town to share a meal and laughter. Ann’s generous heart and spirited companionship made her a treasured presence in the lives of many.

A proud member of the Coast Guard Ladies Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star, Ann lived a life of service and community. Her strength and kindness were evident in all she did.

Ann was predeceased by her loving son, Jason Russo; her parents; and her brothers Ernest F. (late Eldene) Haslett and Robert Haslett.

Ann is survived by her devoted children: Katherine Derman of Canton, GA; Shelly Hamilton of Niagara Falls, NY; and Patrick (Nicole) Russo of Simpsonville, SC. She was the cherished grandmother of Max, Natalie, Aiden, Ben, Patrick Jr., and Niya. Ann is also survived by her dear siblings Linda (Allen) Richards and Thomas (Maylene) Haslett; her sister-in-law Therese Haslett; and ten beloved nieces.
