Ann Tweed, of Youngstown, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family and under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice. She was 88.
Born in Niagara Falls, NY, Ann was the daughter of the late Stanley and Emily (Holody) Supek. She was a graduate of Madonna High School in Niagara Falls. On October 29, 1960, she married James O. Tweed at Our Lady of the Rosary R.C. Church, beginning a devoted marriage that lasted a lifetime.
Ann worked as a cook for the Lewiston-Porter School District for 25 years, where she was known for her kindness, steady work ethic, and the warmth she brought to the school community. In retirement, she enjoyed crocheting, making pirogies, spending time with her friends, and, most of all, cherishing every moment with her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren. Her gentle spirit, loving nature, and devotion to her family will be remembered always.
In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, James; and her brother, Brother Fredric Supek, O.S.B.
She is survived by her loving children, James F. (Pamela) Tweed, Lynn M. (Timothy) Wilkesmore, and Judith A. (John) Boslet; her cherished grandchildren, Amanda (Kris), Samantha (Tom), Shannon (Curt), Heather (Peter), Taylor (Nicholas), John, Megan, Jordan, and Jason; and her adored great‑grandchildren, Aidan, Jackson, Reyna, Bailey, Liam, Madison, and Logan. She is also survived by her dear sister, Therese (Glen) Quarantillo, along with several nieces and nephews.
