Arthur Robert Winslow

Arthur R. Winslow passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He married the girl next door, and together they celebrated 70 years of marriage.

He was proud of his service to the community as a longtime member of the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company, where he served for many years as captain of the First Aid Team. He enjoyed his career as a purchasing agent at Occidental Chemical and, after retiring, founded his own purchasing company. He loved playing baseball, traveling with his wife, learning about new places, and enjoying history, opera, classical music, Youngstown, sitting on his front porch, visiting with neighbors, and feeding the squirrels. Most of all, he treasured time with his family, whether during a simple visit, at a child’s event, or while celebrating birthdays and milestones.

He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur J. and Tanis (Ramirez) Winslow; his brother, James (Margaret) Winslow; and his sister, Mary Lou (Robert) Schultz.

Arthur leaves behind his beloved wife, Dolores (Browning). He is survived by his sons, Robert (Kelly) Winslow, Mark (Lisa) Winslow, and Chris (Juanita) Winslow; his daughter, Deborah (Peter) Winslow-Schaber; his cherished grandchildren, Robert Winslow, Brian Winslow, Rachel (Ryan) Trautwein, Rebecca (Taylor) Siegrist, Ashley (Kyle) Spira, Nicholas (Jacquelyn) Winslow, Gary Winslow, and Tory Schaber, and; eight great-grandchildren; his brother, Leo (Elva) Winslow; and many nieces and nephews who brought him great joy.

His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and in the many trees planted by the squirrels he fed throughout his life.

The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 4-7 PM at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY 14131. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from St. Peter R.C. Parish – St. Bernard Site, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown, NY 14174 at 11 AM. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church. Interment will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Arthur’s memory may be made to the Youngstown Fire Hall.
