Bart C. Boltz

April 4, 1951 — May 3, 2025

Lewiston, New York

The family of Bart Craig Boltz of Lewiston, NY, is saddened to announce his passing on May 3, 2025, at 74 years of age. Bart’s greatest joys were spending time with his family, sailing on Lake Ontario, driving on the open road.

Bart was born on April 4, 1951, in Nanticoke, Pa, to the late Henry and Jacquelyn (Shotwell) Boltz. Bart spent half his life in the Poconos, earning an associates from Penn State, working in construction, then as an independent truck driver. He married Deborah (Marshall) an elementary school friend and their family grew with the addition of four children.

As a professional truck driver with Consolidated Freightways (CF) Bart moved his family to Lewiston, NY, with a job transfer. Bart earned the Two Million Miles Safe Driver’s Award at the culmination of his twenty-five year career.

Faced with a debilitating disease, Bart fought a courageous battle and found peace on the water spending countless hours sailing with his family, a love they began as children at Lake Naomi, Pa.

Another constant in Bart’s life was his eclectic interest in music having played in several bands and hosting jam sessions whenever two guitars got together. Bart was a true car enthusiast and proud owner of several classic cars and trucks.

Moreover, Bart drew people to him through his irreplaceable humor. People who knew Bart knew his humor and enjoyed a wild ride with his witty take on life.

In addition to Deb, his wife of forty-five years, Bart is survived by his children Allyson (Boltz) Clark and her husband Jeff, Brooke (Boltz) Dezik and her husband Dave, Benjamin Boltz and his wife, Carly, and Molly Boltz and her companion Dan. Bart had five grandchildren whom he adored, Jacob, Joshua, Janelle, Lana and Blake. He is survived by a sister Allyson Scotty Linn and her husband Daniel Eberth and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Bart is preceded in death by a sister Robyn (Boltz) Kurtz, who is survived by her husband Chris.

A celebration of life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17th at Ransomville Baptist Church, 2582 Youngstown Lockport Rd., Ransomville, NY.
