Brian G. Carr, of Ransomville, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Strong Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was 52.
Born on July 20, 1973 in Lewiston, NY, Brian was the beloved son of Garry L. and Diane R. (Strasburg) Carr. He was a proud graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School, Class of 1991. For over 20 years, Brian dedicated his talents and strong work ethic to the University at Buffalo in various positions, more recently, Residential Facilities, where he served as Maintenance Supervisor and was respected for his leadership, reliability, and commitment to helping others.
Brian had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed shooting clays, spending time outside, and cheering on his favorite hometown teams, the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Bandits, and Buffalo Sabres. He was also known for his passion for grilling and smoking, sharing his masterful pit skills with family and friends. His generosity, humor, and ability to bring people together around good food and good company will be fondly remembered.
Brian is survived by his beloved partner, Carla C. Pirrone; his loving daughter, Catriona M. Carr; and his devoted parents, Garry and Diane Carr. He is also survived by his caring siblings, Gretchen (Ronald) Kadlecik, Daniel (Sumita) Carr, and Darryl (Brandy) Carr; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends whose lives were brightened by his presence.
The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 3–7 PM at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, where Funeral Services will follow at 7 PM. Friends invited.
If desired, memorials may be made in Brian’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
