Carl A. Wiepert, Sr., 91, of Newfane, New York, passed away on February 26, 2026, at Absolut Care of Gasport under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice. Born on August 29, 1934, in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Louis and Mabel (Hecht) Wiepert.
A graduate of Wilson High School, Carl devoted his life to hard work, craftsmanship, and service to his community. Alongside his brother Harold, he established Wiepert Brothers Builders, and together they built hundreds of homes as well as two churches throughout the Ransomville, Wilson, and Lockport areas. Carl later continued his career as a proud member of Carpenter’s Union Local 280 in Lockport, contributing his skills to major projects including the Sommerset Power Plant.
Carl loved the outdoors and especially cherished the annual “Wiepert boys getaway” during deer season. He was happiest when he was busy, laying brick, roofing a home, or lending a hand wherever it was needed. His easygoing nature and steady patience made him a natural teacher. He found joy in helping children, sharing his skills, listening to their stories, and offering guidance with kindness and understanding.
Deeply rooted in faith, Carl was very active at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at North Ridge, where he served as Steward and Elder and took great pride in helping with maintenance and care of the church grounds.
In addition to his parents, Carl was predeceased by his loving sons, Carl A. Wiepert, Jr. and Daniel M. Wiepert; and his caring siblings, Robert (late Ruth) Wiepert, Gerald (late Beverly) Wiepert, Sr., Lloyd (late Joyce) Wiepert, Harold (late Ellen) Wiepert, and Merton (late Gloria) Wiepert.
He is survived by his devoted friend and caregiver, Nancy; his son, Jeffrey Wiepert; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his special niece, Dr. Susan Wiepert; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Arrangements entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 10 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church, North Ridge, 4169 Church Road, Lockport. Interment will follow in North Ridge Cemetery.
If desired, memorials may be made in Carl’s Honor to Niagara Hospice or St. Peter Lutheran Church North Ridge.
