Carole J. Schnoor, formerly of Wilson, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home. She was 82.

Born in Lockport on December 17, 1943, Carole was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Clark) Schnoor. She was a proud 1961 graduate of Wilson High School. Following graduation, she began a long and dedicated career with the Wilson School District, serving as an administrative assistant until her retirement at age 65. Her professionalism, warmth, and steady presence were appreciated by colleagues, students, and families alike.

Carole was well known throughout Wilson as a true socialite. She could often be found walking through town with her beloved dog, *Sam*, stopping to chat with neighbors and friends. She was a longtime member of the former United Methodist Church, now Exeley Community Church, where she formed many cherished friendships and remained an active part of the church community.

In addition to her parents, Carole was predeceased by her brother, Gerald (late Louise) Schnoor; and her niece, Michelle (late Tim) Kratzenberg.

She is survived by her niece, MaryLou Trice; nephews, Michael (Michele) Schnoor and Mark (Christina) Schnoor; dear cousins, Suzanne (Glenn, Jr.) Zahno, Judy and Larry Brandt; great cousins, Mitchell (Heather) Zahno and Marisa (Thomas) Sauvageau; as well as many dear friends from Exeley Community Church. Carole’s kindness, humor, and love for community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11 AM at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. Friends invited. Interment will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria.
