Charles W. Gould

Charles W. “Chuck” Gould, of the Town of Cambria, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 7, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 79.

Born on June 19, 1946 in Syracuse, NY, Chuck was the son of the late Edward and Emile (née Miller) Gould. He was a proud graduate of Central Square High School, Class of 1963. He continued his education at Syracuse University and the University at Buffalo, earning degrees in Chemistry and Engineering, ultimately completing his master’s degree.

Chuck dedicated 31 years of his career to the Buffalo Public Schools, where he taught 7th and 8th grade Science. He was a patient, encouraging, and inspiring educator who left a lasting impact on countless students.

On August 10, 1990, Chuck married Christine A. Mayer in Orchard Park, NY. Together they built a life filled with love and companionship, making their home in Eden, then East Amherst, and eventually settling in the Town of Cambria. Chuck found joy in refinishing classic cars and treasured every moment spent with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Christine; loving sons, Scott (Virginia) Gould and Jeremy (Shannon) Gould; caring step-sons, Christopher Gomoka and Jeremy (Esa Barrera) Gomoka; cherished grandchildren, Penelope, Miles, Autumn, and Alexander; and dear siblings, Sarah Hill and Gwenn Gould. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
