Charles “Chuck” Mathew Norwich, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away suddenly at his home in Lewiston, NY, on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on December 16, 1944, he was the son of the late Theodore and Genevieve (nee Radota) Norwich.

A proud graduate of Bishop Duffy High School (Class of 1962) and Niagara University (Class of 1966), Charles built a career dedicated to hard work and integrity. He spent years at Tennant Trend in Niagara Falls before retiring from Siemens in 2009. His passion for his community was evident in his tenure on the Village of Lewiston Board from 1988 to 1994. Additionally, he was a loyal member of the 3F Club and Lower Moose Lodge.

On October 21, 1978, Charles married Cynthia L. Evans in Romeo, MI, beginning a beautiful 47-year journey together. In Lewiston, they raised their family with love and care, creating lasting memories. After retirement, Charles found joy in reading, solving crossword puzzles, and spending cherished time with his family.

Charles will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his community, and the warmth and wisdom he shared with those who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is predeceased by his parents and his brother-in-law, Eric Kempster. Chuck leaves behind his beloved wife, Cindy; his loving children, Jeffrey A. Norwich, Kevin M. (Darlene) Norwich, and Katherine E. (Christopher) Neal; his cherished grandchildren, Lauren, Morgan, Gabby, Tara, Brenna, and Alyssa; and four adored great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear sister, Theodora Kempster, along with nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hardison Funeral Homes, Inc., 401 Ridge Street, Lewiston, NY. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
