Daniel Bruce Woods

Daniel Bruce Woods, 52, went home to be with his Lord Jesus on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Born on August 10, 1973, he was the beloved son of Bruce D. and Dale C. (Desso) Woods.

From an early age, after being diagnosed with a chronic illness, Daniel developed a deep interest in natural medicine and healthy living. What began as a personal journey quickly became a lifelong calling. He graduated from Wilson Central High School, Class of 1991, and went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine degree from Life University in Atlanta, GA, in 2006. Even as a child, he knew he wanted to become a chiropractor, and he pursued that dream with determination and purpose.

Daniel returned home to Western New York to practice so he could care for his family, remain close to his friends, and be present as his nephew and niece grew up. He operated a mobile chiropractic practice, traveling to his patients’ homes—an approach that reflected his servant’s heart. Many of those he treated became dear friends, drawn in by his compassion, sincerity, and the unmistakable way he cared for others.

He had a vibrant love for life. Daniel adored music and attending concerts, and he possessed a wildly funny sense of humor that could catch anyone off guard and brighten even the hardest day. He loved to travel, having visited England, France, and Italy, and had recently been dreaming of a trip to Japan. A gifted and passionate cook, he delighted in preparing delicious meals using organic ingredients; his talent in the kitchen was extraordinary.

Daniel spent his life lifting others up—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. His knowledge of healthy living was vast, and he shared it generously. He had a God‑given gift for blessing others, and he used it every day. He was a much‑loved son, an excellent brother, and a fun‑loving uncle whose presence brought joy to every gathering. His absence leaves a profound ache, yet those who loved him take comfort in knowing they will see him again, holding fast to the promise of 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18.

Daniel is survived by his beloved parents, Bruce and Dale Woods; his loving sister, Erin (Sean) Wirth; his adored nephew, Othniel Wirth, and niece, Genevieve Wirth; and his caring uncle, Bradley Woods. He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.

The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 11 AM–12 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, where Funeral Services will follow at 12 PM. Pastor Kevin Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson, NY.
