David C. Michaels

David C. Michaels, of Olcott, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice. He was 77.

Born in Niagara Falls, New York on August 14, 1948, David was the son of the late Edward and Clara (Dent) Michaels. A proud graduate of Bishop Duffy High School, Class of 1966, he continued his education at Oglethorpe University, earning his bachelor’s degree. On August 12, 1995, David married Katherine M. Wade in Ransomville, NY, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned three decades.

David worked as a delivery driver for Advance Auto, where his reliability and friendly spirit were appreciated by colleagues and customers alike. Outside of work, he found joy in the water, whether fishing, relaxing on the beach, or sailing, his favorite pastime. His love for dogs was another reflection of his gentle nature and loyal heart.

David was predeceased by his parents, his dear step-daughter Carrie Ann Carr, and his brother-in-law Terry Peters. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy; loving step-children, Tana Robinson and Jack (Margaret) Carr, Jr.; eight cherished grandchildren and nine adored great-grandchildren; caring siblings, Edward Michaels, Jr. and William (Lisa) Michaels; dear sister-in-law, Donna Peters and brother-in-law, Richard (Elizabeth) Wade; as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville.
