May 3, 1939 — December 11, 2025

Wilson, New York

David D. Secor, of Wilson, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the age of 86.

Born in Wilson on May 3, 1939, David was the son of the late Dudley and Dorothy E. (nee Hewitt) Secor. He attended Wilson High School before being drafted into the United States Army in 1961, serving overseas in Germany during the tense period of the Berlin Wall’s construction. His service was marked by dedication and quiet strength.

Following his military service, David built a career with Diversified Manufacturing, where he worked with skill and commitment until his retirement in 2002. Away from work, he found joy in the outdoors—hunting and fishing were lifelong passions. He was especially fascinated by antique fishing lures, often collecting and researching them with care. David was also a gifted artist. He was an exempt member of the Wilson Fire Co. #1 and a longtime member of the Wilson Conservation Club.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his brother, Dudley Secor. He is survived by his brother George (Huong) Secor and Sandra Dell; dear close friends, David Branch and Joshua Held; as well as nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory.

Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2026, when family and friends will gather to honor David’s life and legacy.

If desired, memorials may be made in David’s memory to the Wilson Fire Co. #1 or the Wilson Conservation Club.
