Doreen C. Cleveley

Doreen C. Cleveley of Wilson, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY. She was 70 years old. Born in Lockport, NY, she was the beloved daughter of Dorothy L. (nee McEntee) Cleveley and the late Frederick A. Cleveley.

A proud 1973 salutatorian graduate of Wilson High School, Doreen continued her education at Canisius College, earning her degree in 1977. She dedicated many years of service to Newfane Community Hospital, where she worked as a ward clerk, and later extended her care and work ethic into the community through house cleaning.

Doreen’s faith was central to her life. She was deeply involved with the First Baptist Church of Wilson, where she served faithfully as church secretary and as a deacon. Her commitment to her church family was a reflection of her generous spirit and steadfast devotion.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—walking outdoors and appreciating nature’s beauty, bowling with friends, playing games on her laptop, and collecting knick knacks that brought her delight. Her gentle presence and thoughtful nature touched all who knew her.

Doreen is survived by her loving mother, Dorothy; her dear siblings, Frederick (Janice) Cleveley, Michael (Deborah) Cleveley, Darlene (John) Cevaer, and Russell Cleveley; and many cherished nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close.

Arrangements entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. A private interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson, NY.
