Eleanor Zelinski, of the Creek Road, Lewiston, New York, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 11th, 2026.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Charles in 2003. She is survived by her three daughters; Taryn Castek, Dana Bunnell (Chris) and Melissa Mazzarella (Fran Flanagan), her beloved grandchildren, Erin and Andrew Castek, Justin (Taylor) and Kiria Gonka, Anthony and Nicolette Mazzarella as well as four great-grandchildren; Norah, Grace, Vivia and Anthony Jr.Eleanor was born in Maplecrest, NY to Cyrus and Annabelle Hoyt. She was one of eight children and predeceased by her siblings.Upon completion of high school, she earned her degree from Morrisville College and moved to Niagara Falls where she then met Charles. She took a role as a dietician at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, but spent the majority of her career at Fairchild Manor.After retirement, Eleanor found joy volunteering at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital and being a Deacon at The First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston. In her additional free time, she loved baking, gardening, reading and was an avid puzzler.She cherished time with her family and especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at The First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston June 9th at 6PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lewiston Public Library in remembrance of Eleanor.Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardison Funeral Home of Lewiston, New York.Have fun in Hollywood, Ellie.
