Emma J. DeWinter

Emma J. DeWinter, 90, of Ransomville, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Mahaffey, PA, on December 6, 1935, she was the daughter of Ash and Dora Lee.

In 1954, Emma married the love of her life, the late Vaughn A. DeWinter, in Niagara Falls, NY. Together, they built a life filled with warmth, adventure, and devotion. They especially cherished their winters spent traveling to Florida, where they enjoyed sunshine, friendship, and time together. Vaughn passed away in 2009, and Emma carried his memory with her always.

Emma was a woman who embraced life’s simple joys. She loved camping, square dancing, bingo, card playing, and the many travels she shared with Vaughn. Yet nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment with them.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Emma was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Ronald Ewing.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Roxann (Jimmy Tagliarino) Cornell and Lisa (Roy Campbell) Snyder; cherished grandchildren, Brandi (Derrick), Lindsay (Brandon), and Kimberly (Matt); and her adored great-grandchildren, Colton, Brayden, Makayla, Carter, Dylan, Blake, and Layla. She is also survived by her dear sister, Mary Ann Ewing, along with several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
