Eugenia C. Wojcik, of Youngstown, NY, passed away peacefully at the age of 98, surrounded by her devoted family and under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice. Her long life was marked by grace, resilience, and deep love for her family and community.
Born on April 9, 1927, in Niagara Falls, NY, Eugenia was the cherished daughter of the late Martin and Karolina (née Sciera) Holody. At the age of five, she moved with her family to Youngstown, where they owned and operated the Ontario House—a cornerstone of the village’s hospitality and warmth.
On April 12, 1947, Eugenia married the love of her life, Edward Wojcik, at St. Bernard’s Church in Youngstown. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, kindness, and enduring devotion. Edward preceded her in death in 2011, as did their beloved son Stephen Wojcik and her dear sisters, Olga (late John) Matthews and Renata (late John) Sikoski.
Eugenia is survived by her loving sons, Martin Wojcik, Edward Wojcik, and Andrew (Cherine) Wojcik; her treasured grandchildren, Caylen (Kassandra), Peter (Janine), Morgan (Levi), and Lindsay; and her adored great-grandchildren, Luke and Max. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and extended family who will remember her gentle spirit and unwavering love.
