Harold L. Barnes

Harold L. Barnes passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born to the late Lester and Ruth Barnes, Harold lived a life defined by joy, devotion, and a deep appreciation for the things that made him feel most alive.

Harold had a lifelong passion for music—especially the energy and rhythm of classic Rock ’n’ Roll. He loved to dance, often lighting up a room with his easy smile and unmistakable enthusiasm. He also found great joy in the world of classic cars. Whether attending local car shows with his beloved ’72 Dodge Challenger and ’66 Mustang Fastback, Harold took pride in every detail and cherished the friendships formed along the way.

He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Maury; his sister, Mary Jane; and his daughter, Laura Fantrazo.

Harold leaves behind his devoted wife of 29 years, Susan M. Barnes; two sons, Jim (Di) Barnes and Paul (Liz) Barnes; and his stepdaughter, Dana (Brian) Smith. He was the proud grandfather of Samantha, Matt (Emily Ann) Fantrazo, and Emily (Dan) Roy, and was blessed with several great‑grandchildren who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will remember him with love.

Harold’s warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Harold at a later date
