Joanne Johnson

Joanne (nee Ferro) Johnson (86) of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born August 23, 1938 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Georgina (Pollina) Ferro. She attended local schools in Niagara Falls, and worked at Hotel Niagara & Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

One of Joanne's favorite pastimes was to dance, and most especially with her darling husband Lloyd.She loved to dance at the Riviera Theatre with her dear friend Marion, play cards with friend Maureen, and cherished time spent with Sharon, Karen and Annmarie. Joanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, and was always joyful when surrounded by herchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Joanne is survived by her three children, Kathy (late Peter) Doel, Joe (Mimi) Cosimano, Paul Corson, and stepchildren Michael Johnson, Kim (Jackie Fechner) Johnson, Colleen Mary (Daniel) Summerville, and son-in-law Robert Johnson Jr., James DellaNeve and Ted Perrin; Grandchildren, Brandon Doel, Tolleena Panosian, Christine (Rich) Catozzi, Karri (Ron) Ortiz, Diana (Tony) Johnson, Christina (Seth) Jerge, Pamela Perrin, Robert Johnson III, Matthew (Cynthia) Johnson, Vanessa (Nicholas) Buihner, and Seth Johnson; Great grandchildren,Brandon, Georgia, Bryce, Austin, Braydon, Bella, Emmy, D’Angelo, Pamela, Montae, Dylan,Connor, Ella, Maya, Camille, Amari, and Asher. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive Joanne.

In addition to her parents and husband Lloyd, Joanne was predeceased by daughter Tina Toomey, and stepdaughter Pamela Ann DellaNeve; brothers, Angelo Ferro, James Ferro, and Joseph Ferro; sisters, Santa LeClair, Vita Jankowski, Alice Renzi, Angie Bongiovanni and LucyZaczek.

All are welcome to attend a service on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 1 PM at Riverside Presbyterian Church, 815 84th Street, Niagara Falls, NY.
