Judith Ann Hacker

Judith Ann Hacker, of Wilson, NY passed away peacefully at home, overlooking Lake Ontario surrounded by her children and grandchildren, she was 87.

Born on March 27, 1938 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of Samuel and Phyllis (nee Twist) Hurst. She was a graduate of Wilson High School. Judy married the late Gary W. Hacker in 1956. Together they shared 60 years of marriage and raised six children. Judy was adored by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her cracking wit, her love of all things beautiful, and the tender kindness she showed children and animals. She loved gardening, traveling, reading, music and could always be found doing her crossword puzzles.

Besides her parents and beloved husband, Judy is predeceased by her dear siblings, Dolores and Jimmy and caring daughter-in-law Candi. She is survived by her loving children, Gary Hacker Jr., Kelly Amodio, Tracy (Steve) Wodjeski, Heather Boyle, Bridget Stopa, and Joseph (Robin) Hacker; cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Blake, Samantha Stoddard, Mandy Blake, Aaron (Chris) Stopa, Benjamin Stopa, Jessica Hacker, Caitlin Boyle and Erin Boyle; adored great-grandchildren, Jack, Amira, Joey, Eli, Jamil and Hayley; also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 4-7 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, where Funeral Services will follow at 7 PM. Friends invited.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Judy's honor to Niagara Hospice or Niagara SPCA.

"Billow and Breeze, islands and seas, Mountains of rain and sun, All that was good, All that was fair, All that was me is gone." As Judy would say "it is what it is."
