Niagara Falls, New York

With deepest sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of Karyn M. Goldman-Luzak, 22, of Niagara Falls, NY, on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Born on February 13, 2003, in Merced, California, Karyn was the cherished daughter of Robert S. II and Kay M. (née Burson) Goldman. A 2021 graduate of Niagara Falls High School, Karyn was known for her vibrant spirit, her love of music, and her joyful presence in the school’s percussion band.

On March 11, 2023, Karyn married the love of her life, Joel W. Luzak, in Lewiston, NY. Together, they built a warm and loving home in Niagara Falls, raising their three young sons—Kylo, Jett, and Sebastian—who were the light of her life. Karyn and Joel found their greatest happiness in the simple, beautiful moments of family life: dancing in the living room, singing along to favorite songs, and watching their children laugh and grow.

Karyn’s warmth, creativity, and boundless love touched all who knew her. She attended and assisted in teaching dance at the Legacy Dance Studio, in Niagara Falls. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, her generous heart, and the joy she brought to every room she entered.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Joel Luzak; her beloved sons, Kylo, Jett, and Sebastian; her loving parents, Robert II and Kay Goldman; her siblings, Robyn, Megyn, and Robert III Goldman; her parents-in-law, Bridgett and Dennis Luzak; her grandparents, Barbara (Eugene) Gribaudo and Barbara Luzak; her sister-in-law, Ashley (Michael Armstrong) Luzak; her brother-in-law, Dustin Luzak; and her dear aunt, Lori Swagerty. Karyn is also mourned by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives she brightened.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Hardison Funeral Homes, Inc., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Courage for Carly Fund, Elm and Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263.
