Lloyd R. Hamm, 88, of Wilson, NY, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Elderwood of Lockport Rehabilitation.

Born on January 13, 1938, in Stevensville, Ontario, Canada, Lloyd came to the United States in 1941 at the age of three. He was a 1957 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving from 1958–1962. On December 30, 1958, Lloyd married the former Judith A. Erskine in Ransomville, beginning a devoted union that spanned 67 years.

Lloyd retired from Harrison Radiator in 1993 after 30 years as a skilled pipe fitter, all while maintaining his work as a pig farmer with the help of his three daughters, an endeavor that reflected his lifelong connection to the land. In retirement, Lloyd embraced the things he loved most: farming, cutting wood, playing cards, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, and rooting for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.

A man of vision and determination, Lloyd pursued his dream of designing and building his own golf course on his 72-acre property. He completed nine holes, each with men’s and women’s tees, a project that brought him great pride. For 23 years, Lloyd and Judy enjoyed life as snowbirds, spending six months each year in Florida. Together, they were enthusiastic members of a square dance club, often “dancing up a storm” wherever music played.

Lloyd was predeceased by his mother, Catherine M. Schroyer; his father‑in‑law and mother‑in‑law, Leslie and Elizabeth Erskine; his sister‑in‑law, Carol Hastings; and his brother‑in‑law, John Erskine.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy; loving daughters, Catherine Bailey, Linda Carmer, and Debbie (Mark) Kurtz; cherished grandchildren, Melissa (Nick) Pyra, Lindsay (Sean) Zito, Ashley (Tim Cook) Hayes, Kyle (Chelsea) Hayes, Ryan (Peyton) Bailey, and Courtney Bailey; and 12 adored great‑grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother‑in‑law, David (Janet) Erskine and Edward Hastings and sister-in-law Sue (Dave) Kroening; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 3–7 PM at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY.
