Margaret A. Saunderson

Margaret A. Saunderson, of Ransomville, NY, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 90.

Born on January 17, 1936, in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald L. and Marion M. (McDonald) Barrett. Margaret attended Wilson High School. On January 2, 1954, she married John L. Saunderson, at Exley United Methodist Church in Wilson. They shared many devoted years together until his passing.

Margaret worked for Oldham Saw in Burt, NY, for many years, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she found joy in the simple pleasures that filled her days. She loved card games of all kinds, especially Skip‑Bo and could often be found working on jigsaw puzzles or completing crossword puzzles. Margaret also enjoyed watching crime‑scene television shows, a pastime that kept her sharp and entertained.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband, John; her loving daughter, Laurie Sherman; her siblings, Walter Barrett, Barbara (late Jack) Meckley, Betty (late Bill) Hald, and Donna (late Bill) Lort; and her caring sister‑in‑law, Mary Beth Grusendorf.

She is survived by her loving children, Terry (Rick) Selbert, John (Patty) Saunderson, and Kelly (Wade Gibson) Williams; 12 cherished grandchildren and 11 adored great‑grandchildren; and her dear brothers, Bill Grusendorf and Robert (Betty Kay) Grusendorf. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 5–7 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, where Funeral Services will follow at 7 PM. Friends invited.
