Marie Kurtz

Marie Kurtz, of Wilson, NY, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, under the compassionate care of her daughter Pauline. She was 98.

Born in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, Marie was the beloved daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (nee Hrybouricz) Spelar. In 1956, she moved from Pennsylvania to Williamsville, NY, and later moved to Wilson, NY, where she built a wonderful life and career. She retired from AM&A’s as a corporate trainer in 1995, leaving behind a legacy of mentorship and dedication.

In her well-earned retirement, Marie found joy in traveling, reading, and, most importantly, spending cherished time with her family. She was a woman of warmth, wisdom, and kindness, always embracing life with grace and generosity. Marie’s life was one well-lived, full of love, laughter, and devotion. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew her.

Marie is predeceased by her parents and many beloved sisters and brothers. She leaves behind her loving children, Jay G. (Judy) Kurtz and Pauline M. Kurtz; her cherished grandchildren, Jay Kurtz, Jaime (Ben) Paratore, and Rebekah (David) Stanley; and her adored great-grandchildren, Celes, Amelia, and Evelyn. She is also survived by treasured nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry forward her memory with love.

Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
