Mary Ann Josephine Zimmerman

Mary Ann Josephine (nee Slominski) Zimmerman, age 83, of Niagara Falls, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Schoellkopf Health Center in Niagara Falls, NY.

Mary Ann was born on April 1, 1943, in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Leonard and Josephine (Gileta) Slominski.

A longtime employee of various grocery stores in Niagara County, Mary Ann was well-loved by the customers of Twin Fair, Super Duper, Wilson's Lakeside Market and multiple Save-A-Lot stores. She fully retired in 2010. One of her favorite activities was supporting the Community Thrift Store at Historic Holy Trinity, 1419 Falls Street, Niagara Falls. She grew up across the street from Holy Trinity, taught kindergarten there in her twenties and remained a regular parishioner throughout her life.

Mary Ann is predeceased by her husbands, John A. Praydich (1941-1996), Earle E. Zortman (1942-2015) and Clayton J. Zimmerman (1940-2007). She and Clayton shared many happy years together until his passing in 2007. She was also predeceased by her sister, Louise Slominski and her brother, Stanley Slominski.

She is survived by her children, Earl (Kim) Zortman of Lewiston, NY, Linda Marie Praydich of Tennessee and John A. Praydich, Jr. of Georgia and her step-children, Scott (Kim Spence) Zimmerman of Tennessee, Kurt (Debbie) Zimmerman of Wheatfield and Amy (Paul) McDonald of Amherst; cherished grandmother and great-grandmother; sister of her younger brother, Andrew J. Slominksi of Niagara Falls.

Services entrusted to the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 401 Ridge Street, Lewiston, NY. Graveside services will be held privately by the family in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
