Maureen A. Branch passed away peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family and friends, under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice House. She was born on October 16, 1941, in Newfane, NY, to the late Howard F. and Dorothy M. (nee Wolf) Fitzgerald. A proud graduate of Newfane High School’s Class of 1959, Maureen went on to dedicate over 30 years of service at Bell Aerospace Textron in Niagara Falls, NY.
Maureen was a woman who enjoyed moments spent visiting, entertaining, and welcoming family and friends with warmth and kindness. She shared more than 30 years of companionship with her beloved Robert Kruzicke, with whom she built a beautiful home in Wilson, NY, overlooking the serene waters of 18 mile creek. Together, they found delight in the simple pleasures of watching wildlife and caring for local cats. Their love for adventure led them to travels across Las Vegas, Arizona, Nevada, and Atlantic City, exploring casinos and creating cherished memories along the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving companion Robert Kruzicke, and her siblings Howard Fitzgerald and Claudia (Ray) Gow.
Maureen’s legacy lives on in her devoted daughters: Kelli (Bobby) Alaimo, Traci (Travis) Taylor, Candi (Randy) Curry, and Kristi (John) Confer. She was the proud grandmother to Krystalore Crews, E.J. Stegner, Jillian (Nick) Brown, Lee Hilliard, Samantha (Jay) McKee, Michael (Joelle) Taylor, Jessica (Sal) Curry, Jamie Curry, and Cole (TJ) Snell. She was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren. Maureen is further survived by her sister-in-law Suzanne Fitzgerald, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Maureen’s daughters would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated friends and caregivers who provided their loving support over the past few years.
