Michael Rex Tucker

Michael Rex Tucker, of Newfane, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the age of 71, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born on March 18, 1954, in Vallejo, California, Michael was the son of the late Kenneth Rex and Aubrey Nell (nee Henson) Tucker. A 1972 graduate of Napa Valley High School, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served with distinction until his retirement in June 2000 as a Master Sergeant.

Over the course of his career, he earned numerous commendations, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Combat Readiness Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, and many others that reflected his dedication, skill, and patriotism.

Tucker was a lifetime member and four-term Past President of the Niagara County Motorcycle Club, where he forged lasting friendships and shared his passion for riding. He married the love of his life and soulmate, Nora I. McGrew-Osmon on September 7, 2013, in Newfane, NY, after meeting in 2006. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Beyond his military and community service, Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He delighted in playing Santa Claus for children, bringing joy to countless families. Above all, he loved his family, his country, his dogs - Clementine and Beauregard, neighbors, and the gift of life itself.

In addition to his parents, Michael is predeceased by his brother, Kevin Tucker; brother-in-law’s, Gene (late Patricia) McGrew and David Williams. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nora; his loving children Christina Sheppard, Trish (Kane) Lack, James (Katie) Osmon III, and Paul (Alexandra) Osmon; cherished grandchildren Kayleigh Sheppard, Zachery Sheppard, Leilani Lack, Summer Lack, Drew Lack, Ali Lack; Luna Mae Osmon and June Louise Osmon; caring siblings Teresa (Carl) Johnson and Bruce (Rebecca) Tucker; loving mother-in-law, Joanne McGrew; dear sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law’s, Diane Tucker, Robert (Charlie) McGrew, Debbie Williams, Shawn (Lara) McGrew, Caroline (Mike) Munella, Tammy (Robert) Royal and Kathy (Rick) Covatta; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

The family will be present on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 3–7 PM at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, Where a Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11 AM. Friends invited. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tucker’s honor to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation or the Niagara County SPCA.
