Nancy Jane Buckenmeyer

Nancy Jane Buckenmeyer of Ransomville, NY, entered into eternal rest on June 3, 2025, at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, NY. She was 69 years old.

Nancy was born in Nürnberg, Germany, the daughter of the late Kenneth Charles and Gertrud (nee Geborene) Stoneberg. She built a life filled with love and adventure, marrying Thomas K. Buckenmeyer on September 15, 1978, in Calvary Episcopal Church in Williamsville, NY. Together, they shared 47 wonderful years of marriage.

Nancy spent her career at Vishay Thin Film in Wheatfield, NY, where she was a dedicated and hardworking individual. Away from work, she loved traveling, particularly Caribbean cruises, first with Carnival Cruise Line, later embracing the new experiences with Royal Caribbean. She also enjoyed visiting Seneca Niagara Falls Casino, but nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her beloved family, especially her granddaughter, Lila.

Nancy’s warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be remembered always by those fortunate enough to have known her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sisters Mary (late Toby) Baracus and Jeannie (late Randy) Fischer. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Thomas K. Buckenmeyer; her loving children, Tammy J. VanCuran, Lindsey A. Buckenmeyer, and Eric T. Buckenmeyer; her cherished granddaughter, Lila; and her siblings Jimmy (Kathy) Stoneberg, Aileen (Ed) Carric, and Trudy (Roger) Winters; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardison Funeral Homes, Inc., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
