Norman H. Vaux, of Ransomville, NY, passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by his loving family, under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice. Born on May 20, 1938, in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, Norman was the beloved son of the late Theodore James and Minnie Esther (Britton) Vaux.
A proud veteran, Norman served his country in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961, with honorable duty in Japan. Shortly after returning home, he married the love of his life, Donna M. Norman spent over three decades working as an operator at Carborundum Abrasives before retiring in 1999. Never one to sit idle, he filled his days with the satisfying rhythm of woodworking, the nurturing peace of gardening, and most of all, the joy of spending time surrounded by his family.
He was predeceased by his parents and three caring siblings: Theodore P. Vaux, Carole Ann Moriarity, and Sharon Rose Vaux.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Donna, his brother Kenneth (Donna) Vaux, his loving children, Sharon (William) Cox III, Gregory (Danielle) Vaux, and Barbara (Douglas) Woolson; and his cherished grandchildren; Justin (Evelyn) Cox, Danielle (Anthony) Fees, Stephen, Tiffany, Scott, Roselena and Anthony Vaux, Jennifer (John) Gartin, Stephanie and Tyler Woolson, and great-grandchildren, who brought boundless joy to his heart.
