Patrick J. Bernier

Patrick J. Bernier, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born on January 23, 1945, in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Cyrille and Ellen (née Hamilton) Bernier. On September 17, 1966, Pat married the former Karen R. White at St. Bernard’s Church in Youngstown, NY, beginning a loving union that spanned 59 years.

Pat began his career at Lafarge Stone Quarry in 1968 and proudly worked there until his retirement in 2006, as a member of the Operating Engineers Local 17 Union. Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, he built lasting friendships throughout his career.

Outside of work, Pat found joy in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed the excitement of playing the slots at the Niagara Casino. Yet above all, his greatest happiness came from time spent with his family, who were the center of his life. Pat will be remembered for his devotion to family, his love of the outdoors, and the warmth he shared with all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the memories and hearts of those he touched.

In addition to his parents, Pat was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Brenda Ann Bernier; cherished granddaughter, Karrie Burnett; and his siblings, June Mannes, Francis (late Barbara) Bernier, Richard Bernier, and Barbara (late Ernie) Barney.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen R. Bernier; cherished grandsons, Justin Bernier and Connor Bernier; adored great-grandson, Timmy Neff; and dear sister-in-law, Sharon Bernier. He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 401 Ridge Street, Lewiston. The family will announce a Funeral Service at a later date.
