Paul N. Bills, a lifelong resident of Ransomville, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice. He was 78.
Born on March 30, 1947, Paul was the son of the late Charles E. and Jean (nee Newing) Bills. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1967 and married his high school sweetheart, Brenda K. Rice, on June 3, 1966, in Newfane, NY. Together, they shared 54 devoted years of marriage until Brenda’s passing.
Paul dedicated over three decades of service to the New York State Department of Transportation, working from 1969-2002, retiring as a foreman. His commitment to his community extended far beyond his career—he was a proud and active member of the Ransomville Volunteer Fire Department for an incredible 60 years, embodying the spirit of service and camaraderie.An avid outdoorsman, Paul found joy in hunting and fishing, but above all, he cherished time spent with his family. His warmth, humor, and steadfast love created a home filled with laughter and lasting memories.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife Brenda, Paul was predeceased by his siblings, Charles Bills and Beverly (late Frank) Jeffrey.He is survived by his three devoted daughters: Shelly (Jeffrey) Wilkinson, Paula Reed, and Kim (Saleem) Shabazz; and his cherished grandchildren: Erin (Sam Daigler), Kayla, Solomon, Zachary, Elijah, and Alexa. Paul is also survived by his caring siblings, Gail (Elmer) Holstrom and Jacqueline (Scott) Fetterhoff; former son-in-law, David Reed; dear sister-in-law, Nancy Bills; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, where Funeral Services will follow at 1 PM. A private interment will be held at North Ridge Cemetery.
