Phyllis Emily Brolinski, 88 of Lewiston, NY passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who meant the most to her and under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 28, 1937, the daughter of the late Albert W. and Fanny M. (nee Hillman) Irving. A proud alumna of Lewiston-Porter High School, Class of 1954, she built a life rooted in devotion, kindness, and unwavering care for others. She married her beloved husband, Robert H. Brolinski, on March 14, 1959, in Jacksonville, NC, and together they raised a family that became the heart of Phyllis’s world.

Phyllis dedicated many years to the Lewiston-Porter Central School District, where she served the students with love as a cook in the cafeteria. Her warmth and generosity extended far beyond the kitchen—she was a longtime and proud member of the Lewiston #1 Ladies Auxiliary, reflecting her spirit of service and community.

Phyllis is predeceased by her husband Robert, son, Jamie Brolinski; granddaughter, Tiffany Ribbeck; siblings Judith (late Bruce) Harland, Patricia Aley and Douglas Aley.

Her greatest joy came from her role as matriarch to a large and loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience as a devoted mother to Dennis (Michael Ferguson), Charles Brolinski, Robin (Richard Grace) Haskell and Terry (Kristen) Brolinski, and a beloved mother-in-law to Ailbhe Brolinski. Phyllis’s memory lives on through her 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness. She is also survived by her dear brother, William (Pat) Irving, along with many cherished nieces and nephews who were touched by her kindness. And Finally her companion “Winston.”

Phyllis’s life was a testament to compassion, loyalty, and the enduring power of family. She will be deeply missed, yet lovingly remembered in every shared story, homemade meal, and heartfelt hug.
