Richard Peter Bimont

Richard Peter Bimont, 66, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Erie County Medical Center.

Born on November 7, 1959, in Niagara Falls, NY, Richard was a 1977 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School. He worked as a mechanic for Dunlop/Sumitomo Rubber in Tonawanda, NY, where he dedicated many years of skilled service before retiring in January 2026.

Richard was a man who embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. He enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle, and boating. In recent years, he found great joy in his new RV lifestyle, traveling across the United States and experiencing the open road. Above all, Richard cherished time spent with his grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and happiness.

He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret (Morrison) and William L. Socha.

Richard is survived by his loving children, Jennifer (Jay) Russell, Caitlin Lattanzio, Ryan (Mary) Bimont, and Megan (Ryan) Delfavero; his cherished grandchildren, Eli, Nate, Jayden, Madelyn, Vienna, Lily, and Gracie; and his dear sister, Christine (Art Hines) Biamonte. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 401 Ridge Street, Lewiston, NY. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
