Richard “Dick” F. Bramer, 82, of the Town of Wilson, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Buffalo General Hospital.
Born on August 26, 1943, in Ogdensburg, NY, Dick was the son of the late Frederick and Esther (Sievert) Bramer. Following high school, he attended Aurora College, where he earned his B.A. in Business and Economics. On September 2, 1967, he married the former Ruth Severus in Brookfield, IL, beginning a devoted union that spanned nearly six decades.
Dick worked for Niagara Mohawk for 20 years as an electrician, retiring in 2002. He was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilson and dedicated many years of service to his community. He served as Vice President of the Town of Porter Recreation for 30 years and was an active member of the Wilson Conservation Club. Dick will be remembered for his steady nature, his commitment to service, and the pride he took in his family and community.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth; his loving children, Daryl (Joanne) Bramer, Brian (Andrea) Bramer, and Alison (Ryan) Cummings; and his cherished grandchildren, Delaney (Peter), Elias, Gavin, Ella, Haelee Mae, Ronan and Rhys.
There will be no prior visitation. Arrangements are entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11 AM in North Ridge Cemetery, 3699 North Ridge Road, Town of Cambria. Friends are invited.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dick’s honor to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 220 Young Street, Wilson, NY 14172.
