Richard Dean McCarthy, Jr.

Richard Dean McCarthy, Jr., of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Niagara Falls Medical Center. He was 67.

Born in Buffalo, New York, Richard was the son of the late Richard Dean McCarthy, Sr. and Gail E. (née Coughlin) McCarthy.

A man who found joy in life's quiet moments, Richard was known for his warm conversations and his deep appreciation of nature’s tranquil beauty. Whether engaging in heartfelt dialogue or capturing the perfect outdoor scene, he embraced the world with sincerity and a gentle spirit.

Richard was predeceased by his siblings Deirdra Cotter and Barry McCarthy. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Brendan (Kayoko) McCarthy of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and his sister Maura (Anthony) George of Buffalo, New York.

Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
