Robert M. Oberlander Jr.

Robert M. “Obie” Oberlander, Jr., age 85, of Youngstown, NY entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Northgate Health Care Facility, in North Tonawanda, NY. Mr. Oberlander was born February 8, 1939 in Morris Township, Pennsylvania the son of the late Robert M. and the late Juniata L. (nee Poorman) Oberlander, Sr.. He married the former Dianne I. “Dee” Wagoner on November 20, 1979 in Honolulu, Hawaii, where they were both stationed while serving in the US Air Force.

Obie and Dee returned to Youngstown in 1990 and together they ran the “Farm at the Fork,” raising alpacas and horses. Obie was a former member of the Niagara Falls Elks Lodge #346, Kailua American Legion in Kailua, HI. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides his parents, Mr. Oberlander is predeceased by his beloved wife Dianne who passed in February of 2015.

He is survived by his best friend and his wife, Derrick B. (Deborah) Brochey; and a sister in Pennsylvania, Janet Lee Snare; also survived by a host of friends.

Arrangements entrusted to the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson, NY.
