Shirley M. Roberts

Shirley M. Roberts, of Wilson, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones and under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice. She was 88.

Born in Lockport, NY, Shirley was the daughter of the late Robert and Edna Blosser. She was a proud graduate of Akron High School, Class of 1956. On October 13, 1956, she married the love of her life, Melvin W. Roberts, in Lockport, NY, and together they built a life grounded in family, faith, and service.

Shirley was deeply community‑minded and generously gave her time to the Wilson Historical Society, along with many other local organizations and efforts throughout the community. Her greatest joy, however, was her family, especially her grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them and embraced every opportunity to be part of their lives.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband, Melvin; her loving daughter, Debra Forsha; and her late step‑son, Norman Roberts.

She is survived by her loving sons, Randy (Tami), David, and Brian (Diane) Roberts; her dear daughter‑in‑law, Mary Roberts; cherished grandchildren, Casey (Cody), Eric (Vicki), Paul (Jessica), Kristen (Andrew), Hollie, and Jack; and her adored great‑grandchildren, Mason and Summer. She is also survived by her caring brother, Norm Blosser, as well as several nieces and nephews who will remember her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit.

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 3–7 PM at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 10 AM. Friends invited. Interment will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Shirley’s honor to Exley Community Church, 338 Lake St., Wilson, NY 14172.
