Todd Andrews Lawson, of Youngstown, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice. He was 87. Born on November 6, 1937, in Jamestown, NY, Todd was the son of the late Dr. Donald and Dorothy (née Husband) Lawson.
He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1955, and earned his bachelor's degree from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA in 1959. Following his education, Todd honorably served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. On October 2, 1965, Todd married Harriet “Penny” Noble at the First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, beginning a partnership that spanned five loving decades.
Todd devoted 43 years of dedicated service as a Computer Systems Analyst at the Carborundum Company, retiring in 2001. A man of many interests, Todd embraced the outdoors, especially skiing during his younger years. He was a proud member and Past President of the Niagara Falls, Ontario Curling Club and served faithfully as both a member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Youngstown, NY. Together, he and Penny shared a love for travel, cherishing their time at sea on cruises around the world.
Todd was preceded in death by his beloved wife Penny, who passed away on December 25, 2015; his parents; and his brothers, Blair Lawson and John Christopher Lawson.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Wendy (Dan) Williams; his cherished grandson, Steve (Kelsey Fairfield) Fugate, Jr.; his brother, Scott (Edith) Lawson; sister-in-law Louise Lawson; nieces Eden Covello and Laura Lou Segal; and nephews Scott and Gregg Healt.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 3–7 PM at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 401 Ridge Street, Lewiston, NY, where a Funeral Service will follow at 7 PM. Friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Todd’s honor may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or to the Youngstown Presbyterian Church, Youngstown, NY.
