Walter P. Bailor

June 8, 1943 — September 2, 2025

Youngstown, New York

Walter P. Bailor, of Youngstown, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the Newfane Rehab and Health Care Center. He was 82.

Born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, Walter was the son of the late Lloyd and Margaret (Bowman) Bailor. After graduating high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. On April 13, 1977, he married the former Carolyn Elliott at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Niagara Falls, NY, a union marked by deep love and companionship until Carolyn’s passing in November 2012.

Walter dedicated 24 years of his career as a general foreman at Carbide Graphics in Niagara Falls. Following the company’s closure, he continued his industrious path with Sigrie Great Lakes for another decade and later contributed his time and talents at Hank's on Garlow Road.

A man of quiet strength and steady devotion, Walter found joy in tending to his home in Youngstown. He was an occasional golfer, but his true passion lay in the outdoors, especially hunting, which brought him peace and pride throughout his life.

Walter is survived by his loving children, Jake G. (Jennifer) Adams and Scott L. (Amy) Adams; and his cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Taylor, Cory, Grace, Ashley, and Jacob. He is also survived by his dear sister, Barbara Dunlop of Nebraska, along with several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. Mr. and Mrs. Bailor will be laid to rest together in Pennsylvania, honoring their enduring bond.
