Walter F. Pepenhagen

Walter F. Pepenhagen, 84, of Wilson, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Elderwood at Lockport Health Care Facility. Born on February 20, 1941, in Lockport, he was the son of the late Frederick and Evelyn (nee Copeland) Pepenhagen.

A 1959 graduate of Wilson High School, Walter went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army from 1963–1965. On January 6, 1973, he married the former Lois M. Braas, and together they built a warm and loving home in the Town of Wilson. They shared 48 years of marriage before Lois’s passing on September 18, 2021.

Walter worked for many years as the grounds keeper at Niagara Lazy Lakes, where he took great pride in maintaining the property and greeting the many families who visited. He was known for his steady presence, strong work ethic, and the quiet kindness he extended to those around him.

In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Walter was predeceased by his dear sister, Patricia Harper. He is survived by his dear niece, Suzanne Harper.

Arrangements entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. Services will be held privately. Interment will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria.
