Wanita Y. “Dolly” Jacobs, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on October 29, 2026, at her home in the Town of Lewiston. She was 66 years old.

Born on September 3, 1960, in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Doretta A. (Nearhood) Nashwinter.

Dolly married the love of her life, John A. Jacobs, Sr., on December 21, 2015, in Niagara Falls, and together they shared the last 11 years filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family. For more than 12 years, Dolly served as manager of the Smokin Joes store in Wheatfield, where she built many lasting friendships and was respected by both coworkers and customers alike.

Dolly found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved tending to her gardens and flowers, caring for her beloved furbabies, Rocko and Teddy, and cheering on her favorite team as an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Above all else, Dolly treasured her family. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories with them, and surrounding them with her love.

In addition to her parents, Dolly was predeceased by her cherished grandson, Brian Besaw, Jr.; her caring brothers, Dave (late Mary Ann) Nashwinter and Jerry Nashwinter.

Dolly is survived by her beloved husband, John A. Jacobs, Sr.; her loving children, Denise (Tony) Sterns, Amy Higgison, Carrie (Andrew) Skibinski, and Brian Besaw, Sr.; her dear stepchildren, Miranda Jacobs and John A. Jacobs, Jr.; her cherished grandchildren, Lucas, Ryan, Kailynn, Evan, Brendan, Sydney, and Riley; her caring siblings, Debra (Tom) Brown, Webster Nashwinter, Wanda (Wayne) Corpus, and Jim (Rose) Nashwinter; her dear sister-in-law, Barbara Nashwinter; and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.
