Youngstown, New York

William W. “Bill” Welder, 70, of Youngstown, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice House.

Born on February 17, 1955, in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late William B. and Beula D. (nee Wingert) Welder, Sr. Bill was a proud 1973 graduate of the Lewiston-Porter Central School System. Following high school, he honorably enlisted in the United States Air Force, beginning a life marked by dedication, hard work, and quiet strength.

Bill spent many years employed with Chisolm Ryder before continuing his career with Niagara Power Wash Systems. On July 4, 2002, he married the love of his life, the former Teri L. Hill, in the Town of Porter. Together they built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and deep companionship.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Bill found joy in hunting, fishing, and the simple pleasure of a good yard sale. He was well known for his impressive albums at the River Road Flea Market, a testament to his eye for a great find and his love of sharing those treasures with others.

In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by a cherished grandson, Julian Michael, and his caring siblings, William B. Welder, Jr. and Gloria Pitts.

He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Teri; his loving children, Benjamin (Nina) Baker and Vicky Welder; and his dear step-children, Faith Dyal and James (Andrea) McGee. Bill was the proud grandfather of Britain, London, Mariah, Alivia, Fawn, Nicole, Jessica, Autumn, Alexandra, Adrianna, and James Patrick, and the proud Poppy of 17 adored great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his caring brother, Thomas (Jennie) Welder, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever remember his warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
